At Studyworks, we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best. A majority of our teachers are full-time educators or business professionals who have a knack for working with students. We employ dynamic teachers who can not only educate, but also entertain. After going through multiple interviews and background checks, Studyworks teachers receive extensive test prep training. Teachers learn our time-tested curriculum by going through our four-week training program. Our teachers understand the most common mistakes students make on standardized tests and how to avoid the test makers tricks and traps. Most "school programs" simply hire Math teachers to teach the math subjects and English teachers to teach the verbal subjects, but at Studyworks our teachers focus on test prep strategies that aren't taught in your typical high school classes. All Studyworks teachers hold a Bachelors degree or higher and have previous teaching experience at either the k-12 or college levels. A majority of teachers hold Masters degrees or higher; we seek experienced teachers and therefore do not hire college students. She also scored a 5/5 on the AP English Literature exam and was named an AP Scholar with Honor, which means that she scored over a 3.25 average (my actual average was a 3.75) and scored at least a 3/5 on four or more exams. The other exams that she took were AP Biology, US Government, and US History. These exams, unlike the SAT, are predominately essay writing. Shannon has also prepped students for the DSTP (which is the Delaware State standardized test) and for the PSSA exam (which is the Pennsylvania standardized test). These tests, at the high school level, are very similar to the SATs. Click here for student comments. (Click on school to view testimonials)
